We believe God has given us a divine mandate to reach those of Jackson County and the surrounding areas, as well
as other parts of the United States and the world as God opens the door. We gather together because Gods Words
tells us not to forsake the fellowship of ourselves one with another. Therefore, we come together to pray, worship, fellowship, and become equipped for the ministry by studying theWord and by hands on ministry. We are a non-denomination
full gospel church.
A Call to Salvation started in the home of Arlene and Vernard Smith in July 1996 as a Bible study for the neighborhood. Vernard and Arlene were at the time serving under the ministry of Pastor Jentezen Franklin of
Free Chapel Worship Center where they were active members of for almost 11 years.
After being faithful to the Bible study and later faithful to a ministry to children on Saturday mornings, the
Lord opened a door and they moved into a building located on Hwy. 11 in Jefferson, Georgia. Pastor Arlene was ordained as a minister
of the Gospel thru ACTS International Ministries in October 1999. A Call to Salvation had its first Sunday morning
service December 1999, with approximately 30 people in attendance.
A Call to Salvation purchased almost nine acres of land at the corner of Hwy 11 and Jackson Trail Road. In April, 2003, we
purchased two large buildings that were converted into a 120 seat sanctuary, a fellowsh ip area and children's church sanctuary. We started having service in these buildings in October 2003.
We soon outgrew the buildings and implemented a fund raising plan to construct a we are 400 seat sanctuary. The project was completed in 2007 with the old buildings being transformed into a youth center name "The Way "
Our children's ministry "Kids-n-Action" will now hold services in our new fellowship hall located in the new building. In the future, we have plans to construct a sanctury that will hold 1500 people and the 400 seat sanctuary will be converted to our children's ministry building.
A Call to Salvation has touched many lives since its inception. The work is not finished and it will not be finished, until our Lord returns to take his bride home.
We ae a ministry with a spirit of excellence and of utmost integrity determined to reach out to those Christ died for without regard to race, background or disability.
